There are many other above ground tombs. One of these has a smaller stone which is slotted for the grave marker. The other has a single slab which is notched at both ends for pointed end stones which rise above the top slab. I have been to many cemeteries in SC but these are the only ones that I have seen like this. Hope this helps. Three are of the tombs I thought you may be most interested in and the fourth is just an example of the other styles. There are many more in this wonderful cemetery. You have spurred my interest in this, I would like to learn more about this particular style. As I said, I have visited many cemeteries in SC, NC, and Georgia on my genealogical seaches. Hope this helps. Charles Robbins Rock Hill, SC Attachment converted: sapa:Oolenoy Tombs.jpg (JPEG/ogle) (000B5621)
