the Dao of Atheism :jeffers' petroglyph, pre-dakota, minnesota : the Shaman Atheist 45/81

45

Perfection seems to be missing something
but like an empty cup
it is perfect.
The fullest seems to be empty
but like the ocean
it is always there.

The perfectly straight line looks crooked
the most intelligent seem stupid
the best speech seems like stuttering.

Activity overcomes cold
but stillness overcomes heat.
Being still,
one puts everything
in its proper place.

When atheism is accepted
there is peace among religions.
When atheism is lost
there is persecution of all religious groups.

Theism has state acceptance, social recognition, religious preference, cultural cohesiveness.
Anti-theism wants what theism has --
the social acceptance, the common mythology.
Anti-atheism wants to keep what theists have away from others.

Pure atheism has no desire for social acceptance
-- it will always be rejected.
If it is not rejected by the majority, it is not atheism.
