the Dao of Atheism :jeffers' petroglyph, pre-dakota, minnesota : the Shaman Atheist 9/81

Better to underfill
than to overfill a cup.

The overstretched bow
soon breaks.

The constantly sharpened blade
soon dulls.

A house full of possessions and wealth
cannot always be protected.

A mind full of morality and social convention
will not always be right.

Materialism and ambition
bring their own ruin.

Draw back
from your completed work and fame.
This is the way
of water.

Atheisms are as necessary to the understanding
of religion as a whole as theisms.
One cannot exist without the other,
and one existing in the absence of the other
will automatically generate its complement.
This is the way of the yin and yang and the dialectic --
two primary elements in opposition,
and a third element created from that opposition

Atheisms are the space in between theisms.
Without atheism, theism would have no definition, and vice versa.
